ooo like a marking scheme?
like
O - Outstanding...
Giving a lengthy fluent explanation of the assignment and giving many points by using their Standard book of spells and/or their own knowledge or the initiative to look it up.
E - Exceeds Expectations
Giving a fluent explanation of the subject and many points in reference to the standard book of spells and using thier own knowledge (Which some may not be correct but still a good try)
A - Acceptable
Giving a decent explination of the subject with one point by using their standard book of spells or general knowledge
Like that but obviously not that 'asking of the students' sort of way lol

Should we use the failing letters like T for troll or D for dreadful?

Are we giving out points for grades?
So far I've come up with:
Grading System
O: Outstanding: 15 points E: Exceeds Expectations: 10 points A: Acceptable: 5 points P: Poor: 0 points D: Dreadful: 0 points T: Troll: 0 points
I think we should keep all the grades, because I doubt anyone will do badly enough to get a T or even a D.
Also, our standards should be our own, students will soon recognize what we expect for certain grades.

Yes, I agree that professors should have individual point standards. Lets keep the O,E,A,P,D,T
grading, put you can put which ever # of points you want your students to meet to get that grade on your own.
I think that will work. Just copy and paste Ourania list into your classroom, and readjust the points to meet your own personal taste.

I think the points should just be that for the grades so then the students dont... pick favourates for the classes

I concur, while for some classes it may be easier to get an O, I don't think the points should vary because then it would be unfair to some teachers. Since less students would want to be in that class.

Okay, I don't understand where you guys are coming from with this. Are you saying that everyone should have the same points for each letter and not vary with every class?
Do you all want to stick to what I came up with:
O: Outstanding: 30 points E: Exceeds Expectations: 20 points A: Acceptable: 10 points P: Poor: 3 points D: Dreadful: 1 points T: Troll: 0 points
