The disappearing charm: " Evanesca"
Pronunciation: "ee-vah-NESS-kah"
Description: This is a VANISHING SPELL with a target added to the incantation. Basically the word evanesca is the base it always stays there, but when u take that word and place another word in front of it then you will make something disappear .Latin for "to vanish" It is assumed it works only on objects and not people. Actually makes objects disappear rather than just turn invisible. EX ( Vipera Evanesca) which disintegrates a snake. Also Evenesco can be useed as the vanishing spell.
Seen/Mentioned: Professor Severus Snape used this modified Vanishing Spell to get rid of the snake at the Duelling Club in the Chamber of Secrets film ( film number 2).
Etymology: Evanesco ( the adjective declined with the feminine "-a" instead of "-o").

The Disappearance Charm
The Disappearance Charm is just that. A charm that makes things disappear. It is important to keep in mind that the disappearance charm makes things disappear and not make them invisible. Which, to clarify is also called the Vanish Charm. It is also called the Vainishing Charm because of it's Latin translation. The correct pronunciation for each spell is of major importance. So the correct pronunciation is:
eh-ven-ES-ka or or ee-vah-NESS-kah
The correct incantation for the vanishing spell is Evanesca.
In most cases you must place a word in front of this incantation, one in preferrence to the Latin language, to make that object disappear. This is of course with the assumption that the charm only works on objects, not humans.
Examples of when this spell has been used or mentioned include: 1. Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix, Snape made the potions disappear. 2. Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix, Bill Weasley uses the spell to vanish the scrolls of the Order of Phoenix.

"Evanesco!" The Vanishing Spell About the spell: [/u](ev-an-ES-ko) Latin meaning to disappear. This spell, when used correctly, causes the desired target to vanish, and not just be invisible, but to go away completely. It is asumed that this spell only makes objects disappear and not humans. The incantation, "Evanesco" may also be said in the feminine form "Evanesc a" and is usually said with the word of the desired object to vanish in front of the incantation.[/center] Extra Information: The Vanishing spell is usually taught in the fifth year, and the student normally attempts small invertebrates such as snails. Further events have sprung the idea that this spell may not cause the object to disappear completely. An example would be if a mouse were to be vanished incompletely, a tail may still be seen, this signifies splinching, in which the parts are still connected but separated at the same time. This evidence shows that the mouse could have simply been transported somewhere else.
Some examples of usage would be making potions disappear or basically cleaning up any unwanted clutter that may be lying around.

Evanesco(The Vanishing Spell)
Pronunciation: eh- ven- ES- ko or ee -vah- NESS- koh
Description: Makes something vanish.
The spell used to make an object. It is assumed this spell works only on objects, and not on people. Keep in mind that this spell actually makes the object disappear rather than just turn invisible. Evanesco is also known as the Vanishing Spell. disappearance charm makes things disappear and not make them invisible
Seen/Mentioned: Used in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix when Professor Snape makes Harry's potions disappear from his cauldron. Also when Fred and George are showing off their puking pastilles, Lee Jordan cleared the bucket of vomit with the Evanesco spell. Bill used it to clear the table during Harry's first night at Grimmauld Place.
Notes: In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Bill Weasley uses the spell to cause some scrolls belonging to the Order of the Phoenix to vanish. Presumably, objects banished this way can be made to reappear, as Bill probably expected to recover the scrolls later. The incantation most likely to be used to get the object back is the incantation: Inanimatus Conjurus. This is suggested in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Eytomology: Comes from "evanescence," something that is fleeting or disappears, and the Latin evanesco, "disappear."

Vanishing charm
The spell used to make an object vanish is "Evanesca"(which is Latin for Vanish). It is assumed this spell works only on objects, and not on people. This spell makes the object pronounced along with it to vanish and not disappear as in if a shoe is made to vanish a part of the shoe as in its shoe laces would be seen and it is assumed that it does not work on Humans. The spells is is "Evanesco" but it is rather casted as "Evanesca" as in "-a" feminine form. It can also make the objects disappear if it was casted or so....
Quoted at: Professor Snape used this modified Spell to get rid of the snake at the Duelling Club in the second book "The Chamber of Secrets"
